October is on it's way so we're getting sPoOky~! We want to hear about what scares you. Whether it's spiders, snakes, choosing a career, or parallel parking, we're here for it! What fears do you face regarding your identity, your day-to-day, or any other facet of your life as a queer person? We also want to know how you have worked/are working to overcome your fears, or what's holding you back from doing so. Let's spill our guts!
This month we're talking about body diversity! Within the queer community we know that in many cases our physical bodies can be the root of intense dysphoria; we want to shed some light on these issues and celebrate our bodies without fear of judgement. We're looking for a wide range of models/artists/writers who are comfortable showing some skin and/or discussing openly their body journeys. Let's talk about our rolls, our curves, our scars, our acne, the things we love about our bodies, the things we don't. Get ready for some inclusive, fleshy goodness.
August typically signifies the beginning of a new school year, so in this edition of CLÆR MAG we want to hear about your relationship with academia. Do you love it? Hate it? Are you a dropout? Did you have a choice? How has staying in or dropping out of school affected your experiences up to this point? How do you think/hope it will affect future decisions and experiences?
When winter turns to spring and spring to summer, noticeable changes are made within the environment: flowers begin to bud, the air is crisp and clear, the landscape is speckled with all things green. We wave goodbye to barren trees and icy sidewalks. These changes in nature are comparable to the personal transitions we experience during these adjustment periods. Summertime can be an opportunity for growth and for continued development, but also a chance to reflect on the progress we've made and the things we've chosen to leave behind. In the first edition of our zine we want to ask you what feelings, thoughts, etc. you're shedding along with your winter coat. We also want to know how you BLOSSOM. How will you continue to expand your knowledge, reach your goals, and be you in 2018?
